"This is the second video release from ASM’s new album CROWN YARD. The thick
funk-heavy groove of the track is accompanied by a visual narrative that revolves around the street artist Liliwenn, founder of the Crimes of Minds project.
The concept for the video was to create a storyline within an alternate world
where creative expression is institutionally stifled to the extent that paint (symbolic for means of expression) has been made illegal. The result is a dystopian vision with a light-hearted true
We follow the three members of ASM, Fade, FP, and Green-T as they weave
through the streets of Paris in order to illegally procure cans for the artist Liliwenn to complete a painting, while dodging and avoiding the detective who is on their trail (played by French
actor Yann Sorton).
ASM (A State of Mind) are an international hip hop/funk outfit who made their
bones featuring on the two Wax Tailor singles “Positively Inclined” and “Say Yes”. After the success of their debut album “Platypus Funk” and nearly 2 years of constant touring, ASM returned on
October 31st with their new album “Crown Yard”. The album sounds and feels like a 1970′s movie soundtrack, and while their bundled youthful energy shines through in every track, the depth of

Liliwenn is a contemporary french artist who hails from the fringes of the
Atlantic Ocean, a place that often seems like the edge of the world. The international street artist breaks down borders and boundaries, emphasises freedom and expresses visceral emotions with a
pinch of dreamlike poetry. After showcasing her talents in the UK, Spain, Italy and Argentina, in 2011 she created the Crimes of Minds project, which aims to inform, develop and push the
boundaries of street art"
